Successful cases:

Case 1: UK 17th-Century Timber-Framed Building Restoration A historic UK timber building faced mold and rot in wooden beams due to moisture. Installing a breathable vapor barrier on interior walls and under floorboards blocked external moisture, stopping mold growth and drying out timber. Without it, costly replacement of structural wood (and damage to historical integrity) would have been unavoidable.

Case 2: Northern Germany Electronic Equipment Warehouse A German warehouse storing valuable electronics needed to fend off high local humidity. A low-permeability vapor barrier under the concrete floor and interior walls blocked ground moisture and external vapor. A nearby warehouse without it suffered expensive electronics damage from moisture—this barrier safeguarded stored goods and avoided huge replacement costs.

Case 3: French Swimming Pool Complex A French pool complex, with high humidity from pools/showers, risked mold, peeling paint, and metal corrosion. A specialized vapor barrier (installed in moisture-exposed areas) blocked vapor penetration and reduced condensation.
